Second Workshop for 2011 "Good Library Practices": "Е-archives for e-science"

Bulgarian Information Consortium, the Library of the New Bulgarian University and the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, BAS are kindly asking you to attend the second Workshop for 2011 "Good Library Practices" on: "Е-ARCHIVES FOR E-SCIENCE" with presentation or report.

The workshop would favor Bulgaria entering the International Open Access Week to scientific publications, which is planned for this year in the period from 24 to 30 Oct. (more on: "Open Access Week"). This is an opportunity to:

• get an overview of the global changes in scientific communications and join in global process;
• frame national politics for popularization of the new model to stimulate Bulgarian researchers to grant open access to their achievements;
• identify key players: universities, colleges, research institutes, financial agencies, libraries.
• discuss strategies on raising visibility of Bulgarian research and scientific publications and their reach over global research output.

We are expecting your preferred topics for presentations and papers (no more than 30 min. length) by 30. 09. 2011. The workshop venue is the Library of the New Bulgarian University, Sofia, on 24 October 2011.
